WhatsApp recently released the dark theme for its Android and iOS beta users to try out. Like we already told you, having a dark theme is becoming a user favourite and its availability on an app’s interface is becoming mandatory. The latest news about the platform is that the theme is now coming to WhatsApp Web and desktop.
According to WABetaInfo, there is still some work to do and WhatsApp is still working to implement the dark theme correctly. Cases highlighted include the background colour for emojis not being transparent but rather white.
From the available feature, under development, there isn’t a toggle to enable the dark theme. Hopefully when available, it shall be in the WhatsApp Navigation Bar or WhatsApp Settings probably.
A release date for the feature is still not yet in the picture, but WABetaInfo suggests that WhatsApp might decide to enable it very soon, in order to release the dark theme officially in WhatsApp stable releases on the Play Store and App Store.
If you can’t wait for the official release of the dark theme on WhatsApp Web and desktop, you can activate the dark theme for WhatsApp web; all through a few simple steps. Check them out here.
