The Tecno Camon 16 Premier is one of its kind. Of course you could easily relate it to the Samsung S20, because of the similarity in build and specs, but once you experience it, you get to feel how much unique it is. We got to tell you the brief detail about it in the first impressions, and are now here to go to the bottom of it all.

The display is a hugely tall 6.90″ IPS LCD, coming with a 1080x2340px resolution, and 19.5:9 aspect ratio. It has support for HDR10+, and possesses and impressive 90Hz refresh rate. This means all that you do will flow like a river, if you can make a relation.

And you could wonder what on the inside supports this fluid screen flow. It’s the chipset under neath. The Camon 16 Premier comes with a Mediatek MT6785 Helio G90T 12 nm chip. The Camon 16 Premier takes centre stage in ensuring that it’s cameras are top notch for the perfect photography you’d expect of it. On the rear are 4 cameras.

A wide or what we’d call main camera compromised of a 64 MP, f/1.9, 26mm (wide), 1/1.73″, 0.8µm, PDAF, Sony IMX686 sensor. This is accompanied by an ultra wide angle 8 MP, f/2.3, 119-degree (ultrawide), 1/4.0″, 1.12µm camera. This is capable of autofocus, and we know it to be a GalaxyCore GC8034 sensor. 

The third is a depth camera, a 2 MP, f/2.4, 1.75µm, GalaxyCore GC02M1B sensor; while the fourth is a low-light 2 MP, f/2.4, 2.8µm, GalaxyCore GC20A3 sensor dedicated to videography. All these are powered by a penta-LED flash, capable of panorama, and supporting HDR.

On the front are two cameras. A wide 48 MP, f/2.2, 23mm, 1/2.0″, 0.8µm sensor; alongside an ultra wide angle 8 MP, f/2.2, 105-degree, 1/4.0″, 1.12µm sensor. These are supported by an adjustable dual-LED flash, and are also capable of HDR.

In regards to video capturing, the rear cameras can record 4K at 30fps, 1080p at 30fps, 720p at 960fps, and gyro-EIS. The front cameras can capture motion at a rate of 1080p at 30fps.

There are a number of modes to make use of when capturing your images on the Camon 16 Premier. From Portrait Bokeh, HDR Portrait, AI Beautification, to Super Night.
