The itel P37 is the standard variant in the latest release of the Power series. The phone is known for its amazing battery prowess, yet coming at a uniquely affordable price. Does this make it a should-have for any smartphone lover? Well, we got a hold of a review unit of the P37 that itel sent us, and here are our first impressions of it.
At UGX 315,000, the itel P37 is an affordable phone that promises features beyond what the average lot in the same price range can offer. These include specifications like a 6.5’’ HD + Water Drop FullScreen, stereo speakers, a slim and fashionable design, a 5,000mAh battery and even an AI dual rear camera.
What comes in the box?
When you purchase it, you get the phone in a bright red box – which we are well versed with when it comes to the itel brand. When you unwrap it, you’ll find the phone, charger head, a transparent phone case, earphones, micro USB charger, and cable.
The first impressions
Sleek design: One of the first things you notice picking up the itel P37 is the premium feel that you rarely find in a phone in this price range. The ribbon-finish on the back, shining camera, thin design and lightweight speak volumes of the device.
Simplicity: This is still a plastic back on the series, but a surely good-looking one. There is no SIM ejection and insertion here, itel takes us back to the ‘get the back off’ times with the P37. The earphone jack is on the top of the phone, with the rest of the other buttons in their places.
The cameras?: Going on to the cameras, here itel keeps it simple! The phone sports an 8 MP main camera, accompanied by a secondary sensor. We shall detail the output in the phone review, though there is some improvement needed for future P-series releases. There is also a 5MP front camera for selfies and video calls.
