Regina Rhoda Kimera left her accounting job at Ernst & Young to become the director of Finance and Administration at the National Information Technology Authority Uganda (NITA-U).
Kimera has been working with the East African Unit of Ernst & Young as an associate director in charge of Finance, IT, HR, Procurement and Administration.
Headquartered in the United Kingdom, Ernst & Young is said to be among the top four four accounting firms in the world, in the same league with Deloitte, KPMG, and PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC).
NITA-U, in a statement, said that it’s “confident Rhoda will positively contribute to the collective effort of digitalizing Uganda.”

A profile provided by NITA-U shows that Rhoda Kimera has over 10 years of experience working in the finance and accounting world.
She holds a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from Heriot-Watt University, a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting (B.COM) from Makerere University.
According to the profile, Kimera is also a fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants UK (FCCA) and a member of the Certified Public Accountants of Uganda (CPAU).
