MTN Kamunye, a 3G smart feature phone running on Kai-operating system has been introduced in the Uganda market by telecommunications giant MTN Uganda.
Uganda is one of the first markets to use this latest generation of feature phones. MTN Group also recently introduced the phone to Rwanda and Nigeria and the monikers Ikosora and MTN Smart T respectively.
In Uganda, MTN Kamunye is retailing at Shs89,000 and it can be found at MTN service centers and other phone shops that work with MTN Uganda.
Features of MTN Kamunye
MTN Kamunye facilitates high-speed internet access on 3G, WI-FI and comes with applications such as WhatsApp, Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, and the Google Assistant.
It also has 2 cameras (front & rear camera), Bluetooth connectivity, mobile hotspot as well as music and video streaming services.
The devices come with a 2.4’ screen, 256MB/512MB RAM/ROM, a 2000mAH battery, and supports dual SIM supporting a microSD card with up to 32GB of storage.
