Xiaomi started selling phones in Uganda in the second quarter of 2018 and since then a number of dealers have signed contracts with the company to distribute its phones.
When we say Xiaomi shops in Uganda in the headline, we don’t mean shops that are owned by Xiaomi, rather where to buy Xiaomi phones in Uganda.
There are 11 Xiaomi smartphones in the Ugandan market, with the cheapest being the Redmi Go, which costs around Shs460,000 and the most expensive being the Pocophone F1 or Poco F1 which costs Shs1.6 million.
They also sell wearables, power banks, Wi-Fi amplifiers among other devices.

Xiaomi shops in Uganda
1. Banana Phone World shops
These have their main shop on Kampala Road. Branches can be found at Cham Tower, Kizito Tower, Aura Park, Platinum House, former Nandos, Biplous (Kampala Road) and Game Store (Lugogo).
2. Simba Telecom shops
Simba Telecom is one of the oldest retailers of electronics in Uganda. It has multiple branches across the country. They also sell other brands.
3. Mr. Gadget
Their main shop is located on Ivory Plaza along Wilson Road, Kampala. They also have a branche at Zebra Plaza, Plot 23, Kampala Road and another at Opposite Acacia Mall Main Entrance.
4. Millenium Exclusive
Millenium Exclusive is located on the First Floor of Acacia Mall, Kampala.
5. Jubilee Appliances Ltd.
This is an electronics store dealing in multiple products and its address is: Plot 69, Kampala Road, Opp. Ambassador House, Kampala.
Other Xiaomi shops in Uganda that you can find in Kampala are Login Computers and King Infosys (it has many outlets).
