Leading e-commerce platform Jumia Uganda has announced the expansion of its entrepreneur program known as JForce across the country. The Jumia Force program (JForce) is Jumia’s sales consultants program which aims at empowering and enriching entrepreneurs with the support of an established brand. JForce agents place orders on behalf of consumers and are able to make a commission with each sale.
The expansion of the program will allow young entrepreneurs across the country a chance to earn extra income with each sale they make & consumers in these regions will benefit from having trained agents help them place orders on the Jumia platform.
“This is an initiative that offers a platform for young people across the country to earn additional income & it’s not just the trained agents that will benefit but our consumers as well. Consumers will now have trained agents in their towns to help them place orders.” Sam Kulubya, Jumia’s Head of JForce in Uganda added.
The expansion program kicked off in Mukono, Jinja, Iganga, Tororo and will continue to western and central Uganda with training being held in Mbarara, Kabale, Masaka, Luwero.
Ron Kawamara, Jumia CEO added “Our strategy is to spread the gospel of e-commerce & the convenience of online shopping across the country. With this program we will be doing just that, offering consumers an easy & convenient shopping experience & young entrepreneurs an opportunity to earn money.”
