A new coworking space called The Hub has been opened in Kampala, joining a growing list of tech hubs and co-working spaces in Uganda’s capital.
The facility is owned by smartfarmingug.com, an online retailer for agricultural inputs.
Smartfarmingug.com is a brainchild of Arthur Tumwine, a veterinary doctor by profession.
The Hub is located on the second floor of UWEAL House at UMA Show Ground, Lugogo in Kampala.
In an interview with this website, officials said space is currently being offered at Shs260,000 per month.
If you want to sit at smartfarmingug.com’s coworking space for a day, you’ll pay Shs10,000.
That fee comes with WiFi internet and coffee.
Though slightly expensive than what most coworking spaces in Kampala charge for space, the fee is not far from the range.
