Nominations for 2019 AppsAfrica Innovation Awards opened on Monday and you can now nominate any company that is involved in the mobile and tech sector in Africa.
Being organized for the fifth time, the prestigious award sees African innovative companies participate in 14 categories.
The 14 categories are Disruptive Innovation Award, Health Tech Award, Best African App Award, Enterprise Solution Award, Blockchain Award, News & Entertainment Award, Educational Award, Fintech Award, and Agritech Award.
Others are Changing Africa Award, Social Impact Award, IoT Award, mCommerce Award, and Mobility Award.
Participation in 2019 AppsAfrica Innovation Awards is open to start-ups or incorporated companies, according to officials, who added that applications will be accepted from companies who have launched a product or service in at least one African market.
Officials say if the service has not been launched at the time of judging, it will be omitted.

The Awards continue to be a leading barometer of innovation from across the continent and provide winners with industry recognition, global publicity, and networking with 300+ industry peers.
The Awards party will be held in Cape Town on November 11 on the eve of AfricaCom.
Winners will also have a chance to attend the 3rd Africa Tech Summit Kigali 2020 to join tech leaders, corporates, startups, and investors.
Last year, SafeBoda, a Ugandan ride-hailing company beat four startups from Nigeria (1) and South Africa (3) to become the Best African App.
