The advancement in technology can now let you access close to everything with just a tap or two. From entertainment, information, and education, to even basic needs like health and insurance. Two companies: The Medical Concierge Group (TMCG), a telemedicine service provider and UAP Old Mutual Insurance have joined hands to make it even easier for medical insurers to get served much quicker.
The partnership is aimed at extending telemedicine services to UAP’s medical insurance members in a move to improve the accessibility, convenience and quality of healthcare provided to members.
It is through this partnership that TMCG will employ its Rocket Health team of licensed medical professionals to monitor and coordinate the healthcare needs of a select group of clients under UAP’s medical insurance scheme through convenient and time-saving services remotely.
These clients will have access to services like appropriate prevention and curative healthcare information, prevention and management of complications that may arise, periodic follow up to gauge the progress of their treatment, and effective counselling aimed at ensuring a positive attitude towards the care of their condition and management of their medication.
Away from the normal setting, expectant mothers undergoing antenatal care will also receive regular follow up to ensure a healthy pregnancy and safe delivery. They will access all these by simply using their mobile phones.
