African tech startups have been invited to apply and compete in the Hello Tomorrow Global Challenge where the best startup will bag US$100,000.
The Challenge, which is focusing on early-stage tech startups, will also give out thirteen $10,000 prizes.
The prizes don’t require you to give out equity.
The key areas of focus are Medical biotech, Digital Health & Medical devices, Drug discovery, Food & Agriculture, Industrial Biotech, Energy, Environment, Advanced computing & AI, Cybersecurity & Communication, Industry 4.0, Smart City, Mobility, Aeronautics, New Space.
Aside from offering cash prizes, Hello Tomorrow Global Challenge also gives startups global visibility and connections with key players in the tech industry.
Since its founding in 2013, it has seen startups raise more than $300 million in funding.
After applications close on Sept. 13, judges will select startups that will compete in the grand finale in Paris.
This will be during Hello Tomorrow Global Summit that will run from March 11-13, 2020.
For a company to apply, it has to have a proof of concept, a prototype, scientific validation of its claim, or in the process of producing one.
The company team has to be made up of two persons or more.
