Opportunity: Startups called to apply for Africa Moves Big Summit

Applications to attend the Africa Moves Big Summit are now open. The event, which will be held from June 17-21 in Tunis, Tunisia, will see up to 100 African startups pitch to investors, participate in hackathons, exhibit, and network with top entrepreneurs around the globe.

According to VentureBurn, apart from the 100 African startups that will attend Africa Moves Big summit, other 130 that will attend three other Africa Moves events later this year and early next year.

The later events are THE BUSINESS TOUR, which will be held in Singapore from Sept. 16-20 and 50 startups will be accepted. THE INNOVATION DAYS, to be hosted by Dakar from Nov. 20-21, is also accepting 50 entrants. The other thirty will attend the AFRICA MOVES Pavilion at CES Las Vegas from Jan. 7-10, 2020.

All expenses will be paid, organizers say.

The Big Summit will feature a three-day forum that will include roundtable discussions and keynote speeches that will tackle challenges faced by African countries, a tech and innovation exhibition that will span three days, as well as a hackathon and startup challenges.

To apply, your startup should be generating revenue, can work anywhere in Africa, and must be registered on the continent or have been founded and managed by an individual from the African diaspora.

Aside from the aforementioned benefits, successful applicants will also get $1000 Microsoft Azure Cloud credits.
