Instagram has been testing its ‘Recommended Posts’ feature within your feed for some time now. TechCrunch had reported back in December that the company had been testing out this feature to some of its users.
In the next few days or so, users will start noticing a ‘Recommended Posts’ section added to their feeds. The section will be added at the end of your feed, just below the “You’re All Caught Up” message. You will notice a ‘keep scrolling for recommendations’ message that opens into this newly added section.
With this new feature, users will be able to see much more of what’s being shared by their respective communities, Instagram said in a blog post. The posts displayed will be based on the accounts you follow and posts you like. Each of the posts under the ‘recommended for you’ message will carry a ‘Follow’ button in blue color to allow those who wish to follow those accounts be able to.

The Facebook-owned company intends to have its user engagement increased with this new feature. It will do so by making the feed the best place to share and connect with the people and interests that matter to users the most.
This feature follows the addition of the ‘You’re All Caught Up’ message which was added early last month to help users deal with their fear of missing out. This message helps prevent users from endless scrolling on the app in search of new content.
The company will be relying on feedback from users as it continuously rolls out the feature to other users. In case you access this feature, be sure to give feedback to the company.
